Michael Hurwitz
Michael Hurwitz is a self-employed studio furniture maker in Philadelphia. He graduated from Boston University’s Program in Artisanry in 1979 and taught woodworking at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia from 1985–1990. Michael is the recipient of four National Endowment for the Arts fellowships and his work is in numerous private and public collections, including the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Smithsonian Institution, and the collections of Yale University and Rhode Island School of Design. He is currently represented by Pritam & Eames gallery in Easthampton, New York.
