“I took the theme of Far From The Tree to heart when I worked on this piece. We cut down these magnificent creations and turn them into lumber, then take that lumber and turn that into what we consider to be beautiful works of art. But no matter how beautiful we think the artwork is, it pales in comparison to the living organism from which it came. So I am exposing the soul of the idea of the piece of art we believe we see when we can't see the forest for the wood”.
