“The Reader’s Coffee Table is one of a series of pieces I built in 2007 that use books (and magazines) as their organizing principle. To me, books are beautiful objects in themselves, and they occupy a lot of space in my home, as they do in lots of homes. How do they live with us? We can always stash them in our trusty bookcases, but I’m exploring the idea that there are other ways to enjoy, even celebrate, our books that are playful, pleasing, and functional. “
