Inspired by the lovely bridge spans of the architect Robert Maillart and the work of Santiago Calatrava. Salginatobel Bridge, in Switzerland, is perhaps the loveliest. –Mason McBrien
Mason comes from a background of antiques and historic house restoration. Before attending the nine month comprehensive program in 2007/2008, he operated his own shop in New Hampshire making custom furniture, museum installations and historic garden architecture. Mason was a member of the Fellowship program for seven months before joining the staff here at the CFC as assistant facilities manager. Here he continues to work on furniture commissions and exploring new areas of woodworking as well as pursuing opportunities in wood turning. His work has appeared in Fine Woodworking and Lark Book’s 500 Tables. Mason lives with his wife and dog here in Rockport.
