Brian Reid is a full-time designer and maker based in Midcoast Maine. An honors graduate of Parnham College, he studied under the renowned designer John Makepeace and principal Robert Ingham, he is the fifth from only a total of eight Americans to have attended this distinguished program. Brian has been awarded two consecutive residencies in the Furniture/Woodworking program at Anderson Ranch Arts Center, and has served as instructor in several of the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship's Twelve-week Intensive Programs. Brian is the Senior Fellow, as well as teaches in the 12 week intensive program at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship. In December 2008, he traveled to Scotland for the second consecutive year to teach a master class on veneering at the Centre for Creative Industries at Adam Smith College.
