Celebrating the Studio Fellowship

April 27 – June 22, 2007

Adventurous and accomplished work from former and current participants in the Studio Fellowship Program.

The works on display were designed and built by participants in the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship’s Studio Fellowship Program.

Staying at the Center anywhere from one month to a year, Fellows share free studio space in a dedicated workshop facility, the Thomas Miller Jackson Building.  They benefit from full access to all of the Center’s resources: equipment, faculty, the Messler Gallery, the Fine Woodworking Library and most importantly, each other.  In this supportive environment they are encouraged  to advance their creativity and explore new work.

Since the opening of the Jackson Building in 2004, the program has been able offer more than twenty emerging professionals and established woodworkers this opportunity.

The pieces on exhibition demonstrate the strong creativity combined with the high standards craftsmanship that the Fellowship Program seeks to foster.
