Ben Vincent Branscom
Raleigh, North Carolina
As a graduate of Parsons School of Design, Ben has worked in a wide range of mediums and pursuits, including fashion illustration, sculpture and corporate identity. Through the good fortune of extensive travel, he has been exposed to a wide range of artistic influences. Initially attracted to the precision and finery of English and Colonial American furniture, Ben has begun to explore the bolder and more visceral sensibilities of African and tribal forms. Upon the completion of the 9 Month Comprehensive course at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship, Ben hopes to be able to continue designing and making fine furniture.
“A piece of furniture can be as precious and rare a thing as is the material from which it is crafted.”
