New Work By Faculty (2008)
June 29 - September 4, 2008 (view images)
The diversity of aesthetic viewpoints revealed by the work of the 27 furniture makers, wood turners, and carvers in this faculty show reflects the dynamism of the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship's curriculum, which encourages each student to find his or her own creative voice.
More than 45 woodworkers from around the globe particiapate on the school's faculty each year, teaching Workshops, Twelve-week Intensives and a Nine-month Comprehensive. They are outstanding professional craftsmen with strong records of creative achievement. For this exhibition we have requested recent pieces that represent their best work.
