Curt Theobald has been a full-time, self-employed studio woodturner in Pine Bluffs, WY, since 2002. His work is exhibited nationally and may be found in the permanent collections of the Honolulu Museum of Art (Honolulu, HI) and the American Association of Woodturners (Minneapolis, MN), among others. Publications include magazines such as American Woodturner, Woodworker West, Craft Arts International, and Woodturning, as well as books such as Audacious: The Fine Art of Wood  (Peabody Essex Museum, 2015), Segmented Turning (Guild of Master Craftsman Publications, 2012), and 500 Wood Bowls (Lark Books, 2004). Curt demonstrates internationally at venues as widespread as the 2016 French Wood Congress, the 2016 New Zealand Woodturning Symposium, the 2015 Irish Woodturning Guild National Seminar, and numerous symposia of the American Association of Woodturners.

Curt teaches Segmented Turning Design.
